I was looking at the Exchange 2010 multi-tenant tutorial located here:

http://itswapshop.com/tutorial/creating-tenants-exchange-2010-sp2-multi-tenant

In particular the powershell command for creating a new UPN suffix

Now you must create the UPN:

Set-ADForest -Identity cloud.local -UPNSuffixes @{Add="newtenant1.com"}

As far as I can tell, this command ONLY works in Windows 2008 R2. Since I'm not running Windows 2008 R2 but Windows 2008, is there another way to create a UPN suffix from the command line?

Thanks in advance

Are you running this command

Are you running this command from a domain controller, or from one of the exchange servers? Also, what error message are you getting?

Have you updated the domain/forest schema to 2008 R2?

As far as I know, this command should work from server 2008, but I've only used Server 2008 R2 domain controllers in an Exchange 2010 environment. Post those details and I may be able to help more.
